Tami McMinn, RYT 200

Tami was introduced to yoga in 2003 after repeated injuries from running, racquetball and other high-impact sports landed her in physical therapy. What began as a way to increase flexibility and heal her injured muscles became a journey of self discovery, genuine reflection and love. She credits her increased strength, flexibility and body awareness to her daily practice and utilizes mediation techniques and breath work to keep her focused and settled in her life “off the mat.”

After spending 18 years in the corporate world, Tami made the decision to be “barefoot on the hardwood,”  full time. Through continuing education she is currently working towards completing the 200 hour Registered Teacher Training program (RYT 200) through Yoga Works. She is then looking forward to a study path that includes travelling to and studying in Rishikesh, India, the center of the Yoga world. By participating in various yoga workshops and teacher trainings, she continues to grow both inside and outside the classroom. She recently studied yoga philosophy and the Chakras with world renowned Yoga Master Anand Mehrota. An avid reader, she continues on the path with self study by immersing herself in books about yoga, chakras, meditation, anatomy and philosophy.

Her unique ability to encourage students to work to their full potential while keeping them safe and grounded has earned her a reputation of being a caring and compassionate teacher.
