Laughing Buddha Yoga Studio is a space created to encourage transformation and we are excited to be a part of your journey into yoga. While this journey looks different for each person, it is our intention that each student feel welcome, valued and free to express who they are. We are passionate about the healing, balancing, strengthening and restorative benefits of yoga. It is amazing to watch students gain strength, flexibility, endurance and confidence as they see their own growth and transformation. The changes that come with your yoga practice will follow you off your mat and into your every day life.


Laughing Buddha Yoga Studio is a space where yoga is taught as not only a physical practice, but as a system of wellness for the whole being. Using postures, mudras, mantras and meditation, we create balance and health in our lives.The body can look perfect, but if what is happening inside of the head is turbulent, it will without a doubt eventually create turbulence in the body. If the emotions and feelings we are experiencing are not being processed in a healthy way, this will cause dis-ease. We hold a space for transformation, for each of us to follow our unique path to health and well-being.


Laughing Buddha offers karma classes (free or donation) to ensure yoga is available to all who are interested in maintaining a practice regardless of ability to pay.


The practice room is heated 73 to 78 degrees. This is a perfect temperature for building body heat and warming muscles and ligaments to prepare for deeper postures without overheating or overstretching.

 
Why Yoga?
 

Maybe you have just begun your yoga journey. Maybe you have been thinking about it for some time, but haven't quite yet made it through the front door. After all, it can be a bit intimidating walking into a yoga studio for the first time. What in the world goes on in there?  


Movement, breathe, balance, strength, flow, stillness, learning to find your center and how to bring it into your daily life. The first step is just to walk in the door, pick a class that sounds right for you and give it a try. It is never too early and never too late to start.


All of our teachers want you to feel successful during your practice and to enjoy your experience. Isn't even the word "practice" amazing? You don't have to be perfect. There are not too many places where we allow ourselves just to be who we are right in this moment. To let go of trying to be better, smarter, faster, thinner, whatever the "er" is for you. With yoga, you get to let it go, if even for a short while at first. And through that process of letting things go, we start to see life differently.
